Your Host, Kristi Foster

Kristi is the Head of Programmes at Conservation Careers and a conservation career coach. Her own career has led her across the globe from East Africa to the Amazon, working with organisations such as Fauna & Flora, the World Agroforestry Centre and Ecotourism Australia.

She completed her master's in Conservation Biology abroad through a Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholarship.


Leo Nyein Zaw Ko

Leo is a multiple scholarship winner who has studied in the US, UK, and Singapore. Originally an environmental activist from Myanmar advocating for the protection of endangered Irrawaddy dolphins, he now works at the National University of Singapore’s Sustainability Academy, where he designs and delivers lectures and training on sustainability and biodiversity conservation.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Bucknell University, Pennsylvania, before earning a Master’s in Environmental Management at the National University of Singapore and an MPhil in Conservation Leadership at the University of Cambridge. All his studies were supported by a combination of need- and merit-based scholarships at the respective universities. In addition to his academic and professional roles, Leo has also worked as a freelance educational consultant, guiding aspiring students - particularly from developing countries - in their postgraduate applications.
